Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    This was delicious, but not what I wanted; it's the end of asparagus season, and I needed a mighty dish to last me till next spring. In future I'd make it using two (or maybe three) pounds of asparagus and half or quarter quantities of all the other ingredients. Meanwhile, I still have 1,534 other asparagus recipes on my bookshelf, so I'll get my fix some other way.
