    I had 2 croissants to use up, so made 1/3 recipe in a 6"x8" dish, using all whole milk (no cream), 1 egg + 1 yolk. This served 3 as a slightly-less-decadent-yet-still-indulgent breakfast. Fairly sweet from the jam and sugar, the coffee flavor was subtle. Made a day ahead, it was good cold or reheated in the microwave.
