Chocolate-chip drop cookies from Joy of Cooking (Sixth edition 1975) (page 705) by Irma S. Rombauer and Marion Rombauer Becker

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

Not surprisingly, these are the classic (and delicious) chocolate chip cookies of my childhood......thin with crispy edges but still some chew in the middle. One thing: they suggest scooping the dough with a teaspoon to get around 45 cookies. I used my cookie scoop & digital scale to make 20 g cookies (and got 34) BUT they were done before 10 minutes which is the suggested time for the smaller ones. It might be my oven (grrr) but I would suggest watching the time carefully.
