Bourbon balls from Joy of Cooking (Sixth edition 1975) (page 790) by Irma S. Rombauer and Marion Rombauer Becker

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

Can substitute walnuts or black walnuts for pecans. Have made for years for Christmas, by hand. Without a food processor, chopping nuts into a meal (sifting through biggest strainer) and crushing the vanilla wafers are both time-consuming processes. With a fp it might be tempting to make these more than once a year.
