    Used escarole because I couldn’t find any other bitter lettuce. Definitely bitter but a nice accompaniment to a sweet marinara pasta.

    Great winter salad. The lettuces are bitter so the oranges are needed to balance out the bitter. Liked even more with a little goat cheese.
