Picadillo breakfast tacos from Amá: A Modern Tex-Mex Kitchen (page 69) by Josef Centeno and Betty Hallock

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

  • Eat Your Books

Included in this recipe is Tía Mona's picadillo. The listed dried chiles (for Amá spice mix) in that recipe can be replaced with chile powder.

Delicious. I used a whole wheat tortilla for mine. I had frozen some of the picadillo p. 66 I had made last week.
