    Perfect for an Easter cake or spring birthday. I doubled the recipe to make the two 8” layered cake and a 9x13 pan so I’d have enough to feed a crowd. Cooking time was the same for both. Don’t forget the simple syrup or the cake won’t be as sweet and moist. I forgot to do it on the 9x13 and it was noticeable. Single recipe of frosting was enough for both cakes barely. Probably should increase by 25% but it was really tasty. Did not like the chocolate splatter. Next time will either add sugar or just melt chocolate for it. Needed to be runnier to get proper technique.
