Waldorf salad from Joy of Cooking, Revised and Updated (2019) (page 128) by Irma S. Rombauer and Marion Rombauer Becker and Ethan Becker and Megan Scott and John Becker

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    Can substitute yogurt for mayonnaise.

It's a classic Waldorf salad. It's fine and we ate it with no complaints, but I wouldn't bother with this version again. I wished they'd given suggestions for additions to jazz it up a little, like they often do. I used raisins because I didn't have grapes on hand, and added lemon juice because I didn't have plain yogurt and IMO plain mayo is an ingredient, not a dressing.
