    simple prep and very good results. The beef was tender and jus very flavorful. I subbed italian seasoning for thyme. added a few bay leaves, 3/4 t garlic powder, 3/4 t onion powder, 1T soy sauce, 1T of Worcestershire, And I deglazed the onions with a bit of beer. I had cooked the beef the night before and it was very easy to slice while still cold from the fridge.
