Apple pie 3: streusel-topped from Joy of Cooking, Revised and Updated (2019) (page 671) by Irma S. Rombauer and Marion Rombauer Becker and Ethan Becker and Megan Scott and John Becker

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Family loved the pie - and first pie I’ve made. Would add less sugar next time and more cinnamon

Made this pie with 1 cup fresh cranberries added to the filling (idea borrowed from Christopher Kimball’s The Classic Cookbook’s fresh cranberry apple pie recipe). It was delicious - the perfect blend of sweet and tart.

This is my go-to apple pie recipe when I need something quick and dependable. I love experimenting with other recipes, but I come back to this one over and over again.
