Can substitute pepper for black peppercorns, ground coriander for coriander seeds, ground cumin for cumin seeds, ground fennel for fennel seeds, ground allspice for allspice berries, ground cardamom for cardamom pods, ground cloves for whole cloves, and ground cinnamon for cinnamon quills.
