    Made it again yesterday. Looks good and smells good. I no longer marzipan or ice it as it stands really well on its own. I like a square cake as it’s so much easier for cutting. Will see us through those cold January days too hopefully.

    Lovely cake. Moist and cuts well. I always keep as one large cake. Matures very well too.
