    I'm yet to be convinced that ground almonds are suitable in a crumble topping. I also added 75gr whole blanched almonds, very roughly chopped, in the hope they would add more texture. Certainly there is a lovely almondy flavour to the topping. The ground ginger didn't come through at all and next time I'd replace with finely chopped stem ginger (added to the fruit with some of its syrup). Will make again.
