Crustless quiche Lorraine from Skinnytaste by Gina Homolka

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

I thought this was a good meal and I would make it again. The recipe calls for 1/4 cup of half and half and 2/3 cup of 2% milk. I subbed more half and half for the 2% milk, This adds 22 calories per serving. It seemed pointless to buy both 2% milk and half and half just to save those few calories. This is more like an egg dish than a quiche. It didn’t have the silky texture that a quiche made from a real custard has.

This, along with a big green salad was dinner for my family of three last night and it was very nice. I’d say to go with a little less salt as mine was a touch salty with the cheese and bacon. I used 5 slices of thick cut bacon and milk. It browned very nicely and the flavour balance was very good with a good amount of custard to filling. Very nice.
