Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    I went off-piste with this one and my way gets 4 1/2 but I am very sceptical about the recipe as written. It's written for plain flour, presumably with the 4 eggs acting as a raising agent but the reviews on the recipe say it's very heavy. I made a half quantity and used 25g ground almonds and 75g self raising flour and baked it in a loaf tin. The reviews also say the white chocolate topping is very very sweet, so I made a thin glace icing of the juice from the zested orange instead. The fruit is very sparse but the spices and orange give a lot of flavour.
