EYB Comments
Despite the title, this recipe does not call for pumpkins. Can substitute rice malt syrup or honey for barley malt syrup, vanilla extract for vanilla bean paste, whole wheat flour or sprouted spelt flour for whole spelt flour, and ground allspice or cinnamon for Chinese five-spice powder.
Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?
Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.
