Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    With my additions, this is a great "healthier" cheese dip/spread for veggie sandwiches or dip for crusty bread or crackers. I used fresh herbs instead of all the dried, adding fresh scallions, chives and dill, and using a tablespoon plus of each. I also added one large serrano pepper and a jar of diced pimentos. I'm not going to say it's a pimento cheese dip because I don't want to offend any southerners! But it definitely tastes like a less rich, herby version. As written, the recipe would be a bit bland but as most of the recipes in this book, they feel a bit dated. I still love this book as a go-to for easy and quick vegetarian recipes (my book is well-loved and even burned on one corner!) that are healthy and vegetable forward but I usually always add more spices and flavors for my modern palate.
