Cashew nuts require soaking overnight. Requires at least 2 days to prepare. Can substitute store-bought marinated peppers for the book's "Marinated peppers", dill for mint, hot sauce for the book's "Hibiscus Oaxacan chile hot sauce", and macadamia nuts or pine nuts for raw cashew nuts. See recipe for olive suggestions. Can use the book's "Coconut yogurt", "Classic vegan cream cheese", and "Simple mayonnaise".
Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?
Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.
