Sweet and vicious from Liquid Intelligence and Death & Co: Two Book Bundle by Dave Arnold and David Kaplan and Nick Fauchald and Alex Day

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

Fall-inspired dry Manhattan variation with muddled apple that gives a slight acidity to the drink. There is also some amaro Nonino which imparts bitterness and orange notes, and a touch of maple syrup. It’s on the sweet side as the name implies, so I reduced the maple syrup from a barspoon to half a barspoon. The muddled apple seemed to soak up the drink a bit, so the yield was a bit smaller than expected. Photo here: https://tartinestotikis.wordpress.com/2014/10/04/sweet-and-vicious/
