Oven-roasted chicken shawarma from Once Upon a Chef: Weekend/Weeknight: 70 Quick-Fix Weeknight Dinners + 30 Luscious Weekend Recipes (page 70) by Jennifer Segal

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

My husband and I really enjoyed this, but the kids were not wild about it. I served this in fajita size tortillas with the tomatoes cucumbers and yogurt sauce I would definitely eat this again!

I just made the chicken and sauce, served over salad as suggested. I expected the chicken would need to marinate in advance, but no (though I imagine it could), and it was so flavorful. Just delicious! We only used about half the sauce.

Delicious! Only 1/2 the sauce is needed.

Prepped sauce, chicken (breasts instead of thighs) and onions early in day. Turned out perfectly for supper. Everyone raved.

M could not stop raving about this dish. I did not make the sauce as we did not have sandwiches. To accompany the chicken, I made a sheet pan of roasted cauliflower and grapes which was an excellent match. It's important to not separate the onion into rings as they will start to burn. We're looking forward to adding the chicken to our lunch salads this week.

Loved this! Easy, good flavor profile. Definitely a repeat.
