Sour cream chocolate loaf cakes from Once Upon a Chef: Weekend/Weeknight: 70 Quick-Fix Weeknight Dinners + 30 Luscious Weekend Recipes (page 258) by Jennifer Segal

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

Not sure if I did something wrong or if my oven was way off. The only change I made was to use Dutch-processed cocoa - I realize that affects the pH, but with only 1,5 Tbsp, I didn't think it would matter too much. However, my loaf took 20 min longer to bake and sank in the center. The glaze was way too thin (should've added just 1 Tbsp water) so I had to add more sugar, making it sweeter. Still, we enjoyed the cake; it was relatively moist despite the long baking time, with good chocolate flavor.

I made this with one of my sons and subbed gf flour. This is a really good chocolate cake. I made a quick ganache instead of the glaze.
