Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    Please learn from my mistake, and don't follow the recipe as written! It tells you to beat the butter, sugar and eggs together "until smooth and fluffy", rather than creaming the butter and sugar before adding the eggs. The result is that you're never going to achieve "smooth and fluffy", and you've lost the opportunity to aerate the mixture. I'm worried the cake will be unpleasantly dense as a result, but will report back once we've eaten it.
