One-pan hot-smoked salmon biryani from Madhouse Cookbook / In the Mood for Quick Family Food: Delicious Recipes for the Busy Family Kitchen (page 25) by Jo Pratt

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Accompaniments: Cucumber raita

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

  • Eat Your Books

Can substitute smoked mackerel, smoked trout, roast chicken, roast turkey, or roast ham for salmon; tenderstem broccoli, asparagus, green beans, or mangetout for broccoli; cooked white basmati rice for brown basmati rice; crème fraîche or soured cream for natural yogurt; and dill or mint for coriander.

Used white Basmati and peas in place of broccoli but otherwise made as written. Not sure I'd add yogurt next time, it didn't add anything to the dish. Quick, easy, tasty, one pan dish.
