Egg noodles with cabbage, bacon and sour cream from Milk Street: Cook What You Have: Make a Meal Out of Almost Anything (page 62) by Christopher Kimball

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

I scaled this to 1/3 to serve as a side for a pan roasted pork tenderloin and we both really liked it. I prefer the cabbage to be thinly sliced (rather than in 1" pieces), and added some diced yellow pepper to the onions & chopped red peppadews at the end. I used a much smaller amount of sour cream to get just a little creaminess and we agreed that this is a great way to help us work through a head of cabbage.
