Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    The first time I made this I used the whey from homemade paneer in place of the cooking water - it significantly delayed the lentils softening, but was delicious. The second time I made as per the recipe, and it was fine though very plain. The portions are very small though, unless you're eating it as part of a much larger spread - a single quantity of the recipe would barely serve two.
