Banana cake, two ways: without frosting from Everyday Cake: 45 Simple Layer, Bundt, Loaf, and Sheet Cakes (page 98) by Polina Chesnakova

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Can substitute semisweet chocolate for milk chocolate.

This is a nice simple banana cake with a light crumb, and the milk chocolate is a nice addition. This is the first recipe I’ve made from this book, and (rookie error) I neglected to look at the ingredients introduction to learn she uses Diamond Crystal salt. The cake was definitely too salty using Morton kosher; will halve the salt going forward.
