    Just okay for me. But then I forgot to add the black cocoa that I bought especially for these. I just think that there were too much going on, the predominate taste is the black pepper. The cardamom and the cinnamon were kind of muddled and I did use the higher amount of cardamom asked for. Also, I think that because I forgot the black cocoa, so there were less dry ingredient to absorb the sugar, syrupy liquid seeped out from the buns during the final rise. I did not make the glaze or add the topping, it was sweet enough for us.
