Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    I cooked them with the bacon over the top for the first 1.5 hours, then removed the bacon, drained out any grease and poured tomato soup over the top (as a stand in for tomato sauce like my Polish mother-in-law used to do), then diced up the bacon and sprinkled it over the top and cooked them for another half hour until the sauce was bubbly. I've never tried making them with bacon as suggested but they were good this way (though what isn't good with bacon!).
