Drunken plum frangipane tart from Pie Is Messy: The Pie Hole Cookbook (page 72) by Rebecca Grasley

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

Can substitute apricot jam for plum jam. You may use the Moe's piecrust recipe on p. 19.

I didn't want to buy a giant bottle of plum brandy, so substituted blackberry brandy, which was delicious. This tart is probably better when made in a tart pan, as I followed the directions to make it galette-style and the huge amount of frangipane ran out of the crust and all over the baking pan. It wasn't pretty, but tasted good.
