Rustic cracked wheat bread from Canadian Living's Best: Breads and Pizzas: Over 100 Delicious Homemade Breads, Bagels, Baguettes, Flatbreads, Pizzas...and More (page 20) by Elizabeth Baird and Canadian Living

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

This makes a good rustic grainy bread. I often do a half recipe in the bread machine. The cracked wheat (I sub with Red River Cereal, a Canadian thing) is partially cooked by pouring on boiling water, then later added to the dough. I let the machine do the kneading then shape dough and bake in the oven. This also makes good rolls.
