  • Chardonnay wine
  • Chambord
  • Serves : 1
  • EYB Comments

Errata: 6 ounces wine is 3/4 cup not 1.5 cups. Can substitute crème de cassis or the book’s “Berry liqueur” for Chambord.

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

I liked this on first sip but became rather bored by it and decided I would rather drink a straight Chardonnay. It was a bit sweet for me. I'll maybe try it with crème de mure (blackberry) or crème de cassis (blackcurrant) which may be a bit less sweet. Note there is a mistake in the quantity of wine - it should be 0.75 cup not 1.5 cups (which would be a rather large cocktail being half a bottle of wine!).
