    I made these on NYE 2023. I followed the recipe almost exactly (I used a good 12-year-old rum instead of whiskey) and got 20 cookies so I think I divided the dough up properly. I included a pic to show how it's hard to judge from just looking at them if they are done. They don't change color much and I think I baked them for a few extra minutes which probably wasn't necessary. The dough is not very sweet and I figured the ganache would balance them out. But I think there was too much cookie to ganache. The ganache was delicious when I tasted it by itself, but I didn't feel like I got tons of flavor from it when it was on the cookie. I was a little bummed with the overall result. I do love the idea of these so maybe I'll try again and fiddle with the dough to ganache ratio. Btw the pic was just after I dipped them and the ganache did firm up more by the next day.
