    I made this with a food processor and it was easy to put together. I substituted lard for the shortening and only refrigerated it for about an hour. It was easy to roll out and work with. The final bake was flakey & delicious. This will be my go-to recipe for empanadas.

    This dough was easy and good. I made it entirely in my food processor and it came out tender and flaky. I made ground beef with sweet and Yukon potatoes, smoked paprika and capers, and the other version had butternut squash, kale, sweet potatoes and chickpeas.
