Can substitute vegetable oil for coconut oil, tamarind concentrate for tamarind pulp, maple syrup or unrefined coconut sugar for date syrup, ginger with lemon juice for galangal, garlic paste for garlic, cashew nuts for macadamia nuts, and brown miso paste or red miso paste for doenjang.
