Can substitute ground turmeric for turmeric paste; flatbreads, pita bread, or rustic sourdough bread for the book's "Golden egg pancake" called for in this recipe; leftover meat of your choice for cooked chickpeas; sauces of your choice for pesto of your choice; mangoes for green mangoes; fresh ginger for turmeric; the book's "Apple scrap vinegar", kombucha, tonic, ferment juice, or brine for apple cider vinegar; and ground cumin for Ayurvedic spice blend.
