White bean stew with bacon, green beans, apples, and pears (Westfälisches blindhuhn) from Classic German Cooking: The Very Best Recipes for Traditional Favorites from Semmelknödel to Sauerbraten (page 84) by Luisa Weiss

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Can substitute marjoram for summer savory.

This was an interesting soup, a mix of sweet and savory. My pears were not as firm as the recipe called for and I used pre-cooked beans, which likely limited the flavors. If I decide to make this again, I'll start with dried beans and see how that goes.
