Orange creamsicle icebox cake from Potluck Desserts: Joyful Recipes to Share with Pride (page 163) by Justin Burke

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Do not use 60g of orange zest as directed or you will regret it. I had 3 large and 5 small oranges, which gave me 41g of orange zest, and after the initial 4 hours of freezing time it tasted like I was eating a slab of bitter orange peels. The next day it has mellowed and tastes better (but still too zesty), but the bigger problem is that the recipe doesn’t tell you how to store this dessert. I looked at other icebox cake recipes and they say either freezer or fridge, so I opted for fridge to avoid the thawing time. Well, it is now a trifle because it completely collapsed.
