    Can substitute avocado oil or water for olive oil, white onions for shallots, coconut sugar for maple syrup, and gluten-free bread for regular bread.

    I made these for a weeknight dinner with roasted potatoes and wilted spinach, added bacon on top too. It was a great combination. I found the beans needed to simmer for longer than 10 minutes to reduce down.
