Chile crisp snack mix from Everyone Hot Pot: Creating the Ultimate Meal for Gathering and Feasting (page 137) by Natasha Pickowicz

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Second time making this and still delicious! Chex mix taken to a new level!

Great mix of flavours and textures! I used up a jar of mild chili crisp so next time I would try it with something spicier. A fun snack that I’m looking forward to putting in a big jar and gifting to a friend.

Nice variation on Chex mix that really captures the flavors of Málà dishes. If using a store-bought chilli crisp, the flavor profile and spice level of the resulting dish will really vary depending on the one you pick. I found the recipe needed quite a bit of salt. To accommodate a celiac family member, I also substituted gluten-free pretzel sticks for shrimp chips and fried wontons—which still worked well with the other ingredients.
