    Can substitute espresso for brewed coffee. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. Can substitute up to ¼ cup of the dark rum with coffee liqueur for a stronger coffee flavor. If no leftover rum cake, can use store-bought pound cake soaked in rum glaze.
