Can substitute guanciale for pancetta, parsley root for parsnip, unsalted butter and vegetable oil for lard, double cream for whipping cream, Bread Dumplings for Karlovy Vary Dumplings, and lingonberry sauce for cranberry sauce. Beef can be marinated for up to 24 hours in advance.
