    Can substitute canned chickpeas for dried chickpeas, and coriander (cilantro) leaves for parsley; dried chickpeas soak in cold water overnight. Author notes carrots can be substituted with capsicums, zucchini or another sturdy vegetable; celery or onion with leek or fennel; coconut cream with oat cream or extra stock; fennel seeds with caraway seeds or extra cumin seeds; and green beans with broccoli, broccolini, zucchini, shredded kale, cabbage or spinach.
