    The convenience of cooking the potatoes in the slow cooker was really nice on Thanksgiving. However, the outcome wasn't so great. The potatoes that sat in the water cooked through, but the ones above the water were still a bit crunchy. When I tried to stir them in, the soft bottom potatoes starting breaking up and absorbing the water. So I wound up with watery mashed potatoes. Sigh.
