Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    This is a truly great snacking cake. It is the perfect way to use up those sad apples in the bottom of your fruit drawer that are no longer nice for eating but are still perfectly good. It remains moist even when left on the counter. I've had it in a covered cake stand for four days and it is just as tender and delicious as the first day. I used an 8 inch round pan and it made a nice tall layer.

    I made this in a 9" pan, and it came out great; baked for the same amount of time (although my oven might be off - check at 25 min). Very easy and quick to make.
