Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    I made the Buttermilk Biscuits and used the variation from page 9 to make Charley's Jam Snacks. The biscuits looked like they were made for a special occasion. Everyone said how good they looked and there wasn't a single biscuit left. Charley's Jam Snacks were well worth the extra steps.
