    This makes an excellent, classic butterscotch sauce. Be careful with the salt; the amount given may be too salty for your taste. Especially if you use a tablespoon of fine salt instead of flakes, or use salted butter and then add the full amount of salt, as some disgruntled commenters seem to have done.
