    We followed the recipe as described except for using parchment paper instead of plastic wrap. Although very tasty the cake didn't set and didn't look like the picture at all. Perhaps I should have cooked it longer. The family enjoyed it and thought the syrup and fruit was unnecessary. If it had been more cake like the syrup may have made more sense.
