Is there a way to filter the notes to see only notes I have added? I know I can see only notes on books that I own but would like to narrower it even further.

Hi mjes. You can do that by looking at Notes under your profile. I click the drop-down arrow in the box with my user name in the upper right-hand corner, select “Profile” then click on “Notes” in the green bar.

Thank you. So simple once you know.

You are welcome! Funny I took a peek at your profile and the note you posted today is for something I have been searching for a good recipe for: jook or congee, so thank YOU!

Just now got me some Thai broken rice and while I was at it, some Chinese-style sausage. I am going to make me some yummy congee this weekend!

Fantastic - let me know how your jook came out ...

I think it turned out great! I cook on Sundays for the week so I made a whole pot for breakfasts/lunches this week. I made it with reconstituted (dried) lobster mushrooms and Chinese sausage that I picked up when I got the broken rice. I did taste and like it so far! We’ll see how it reheats.

It reheated beautifully - eating now for breakfast! I was afraid I had oversalted (over “soy-sauced”) it, but no I didn’t - it’s delicious. My lesson learned from this first time making congee is to use a bigger pot! It was nearly overflowing by the time I was done.

mjes - I bought a HUGE bag of the Thai broken rice. Do you have any other suggestions for its best uses? I haven’t yet done an EYB search - will do that now.
