This in store magazine had two fantastic recipes for Balti. One was for a basic Balti paste and the other used that paste is a Balti chicken with flaked almonds and cherry tomatoes. Unfortunately we lost our copy when we moved. Does anyone have a copy?

Have you checked the "tesco real food" web site? They have a chicken & tomato curry recipe .. but it uses madras paste: https://realfood.tesco.c...tomato-spiced-curry.html and there's a nice looking dish with same name as the one you're chasing at http://www.grouprecipes....omatoes-and-almonds.html

Thanks debkellie. It looks like http://www.grouprecipes....omatoes-and-almonds.html is the recipe that I was looking for. It even has the text that I remember from the recipe "Balti has come a long way since it first arrived in the UK around 20 years ago . . ."

Debkellie, we are giving it a try this week. When we tried it on friends in 1996 they said it was quite possibly the nicest curry they had ever had. Fingers crossed that it’s the same recipe. Let me know what you think.
