Time was, not too long ago, when I would get email notifications for forum topics I'd never heard of. Now the opposite is true - I get no email notifications at all.

How can I receive notifications again?

Sorry, no-one else had reported this issue so I wasn't aware it was a problem. I will get our developers to look into it but since it's the weekend it won't be until next week. Out of interest, are you aware that you need to sign up for individual Forum topics to get the notifications?

bitrette - I just signed up for notifications on a new Forum topic (Trends in flavor/ingredients" and I have so far received an email notificationsfor the new post. Maybe try signing up for a topic you want notifications on by clicking Options in the green search bar then click "Watch this topic". Please do let us know if that doesn't work for you.

That's just it - before some time in April I got notifications whenever a new post appeared in any topic, including topics I didn't know existed. Then in early April all notifications ceased.

Now my question is: What if I want to keep up with a topic, but I have nothing to say so far? Is there a way to follow a topic without posting anything?

Yes, if you want to follow a topic, do as I explained in my previous post.

"Options" in the green search bar doesn't work at all. I tap it and tap it, and nothing ever happens.

bittrette - can you please email us with details of your browser and device? When I click Options on my laptop and on my phone I see the options of 'Watch this topic' and 'Print this topic'. This is what it looks like on my laptop (with the options outlined by me in black). On a phone, the Options can be superimposed on text (which I will get our developers to take a look at) but they still work as they should.

Please be advised that Copy, Cut and Paste don't work either. Nor can I create a link to any Web page outside this site.

The same email you have always contacted us on - [email protected]. There is a Contact link at the top right of every page on the site.

Copy and paste works in any Forum post. You add a link by highlighting the text where you want to insert the link. Then click the links icon in the toolbar (the third from the right). If you add a link off the site we ask that you select under Target "Open in new window (_blank)" so the new page opens in a new tab.
